Description

The Commis Chef is responsible for assisting the Senior Chef on duty with preparation and cooking all food items for the restaurants, whilst adhering to all health and food safety guidelines. You will assist in food production, receiving delivery, cleaning, and maintaining kitchen and food safety standards and other support duties instructed by the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef.
The Commis Chef goal is to demonstrate and help maintain high levels of service, while creating a unique Mamula team spirit, culture, and identification. They succeed in their role if they work as an integral part of the team, providing the most efficient level of support to the team members, while producing a quality product in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and a minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
  • Effective communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in high stress conditions
  • Language skills: fluency in English (speaking and writing), good working knowledge of the local language is a strong preference
